Audio and text stay local

Speech recognition and translation run on your Mac. Arovia does not upload audio, transcripts or translations to its servers for this processing. Downloading speech models or Apple translation resources may require internet access.

Sound, without microphone or screen access

Only system audio permission. No microphone or screen recording permission required. No virtual audio driver to install.

macOS requests system audio permission on first use. Choose an available source and pause or stop at any time. Arovia does not capture screen images to recognize speech.

Your history and exports

History stays locally and may include original text, translations, timestamps and the audio source. Delete records in the app. Exported files must be deleted separately.

Account, purchases and devices

Email sign-in uses your email address, verification records and a login session. Order and license services store transaction amounts, taxes, payment status, license identifiers and device binding information. We use an unreadable device identifier for license verification and to prevent repeated free-trial claims. These services do not receive your audio, transcripts or translations.

Purchases are currently unavailable. When enabled, Stripe handles payment; Arovia does not receive or store full card numbers or security codes. Cloudflare hosts the site, API, email delivery and database. Infrastructure may process IP addresses, request times and error logs.

Browser storage

A session cookie keeps you signed in; browser storage remembers your language. We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare to measure website visits and performance and to protect the site. Website statistics do not include audio or transcripts processed by the app. Clearing browser site data removes preferences and cookies, not server account or order records.

Retention and your choices

Delete local history in the app and exported files separately. Codes expire after 10 minutes and sessions after 30 days; expiry is not database deletion, and scheduled server cleanup is not configured yet. Use Delete account on your account page: all sessions end, licenses are revoked and device bindings removed. Your email association is erased; necessary pseudonymous transactions remain. This does not refund purchases, delete local files or erase Stripe records. Registering again does not restore old purchases.
